Clean Up & Check Out

Cleaning Requirements

In​ ​order​ ​to​ ​better​ ​serve​ you​ ​and​ ​make​ ​everyone’s​ ​stay​ ​at​ ​New​ ​Hope​ ​Christian​ ​Camp​ ​and Retreat​ ​Center​ ​an​ ​enjoyable​ ​experience,​ ​we​ ​ask​ ​that​ ​you​ ​adhere​ ​to​ ​our​ ​expectations​ ​of​ ​cleaning prior​ ​to​ ​departure.

GENERAL​ ​CAMP​ ​GROUNDS

     1. Remove​ ​all​ ​litter

     2. Pick​ ​up​ ​game​ ​and​ ​sport​ ​equipment​ ​and​ ​return​ ​to​ ​sport​ ​room.

     3. Remove​ ​all​ ​personal​ ​items.

ALL​ ​BEDROOMS (Follow​ ​signs​ ​posted​ ​in​ ​each​ ​Bedroom)

     1. Remove​ ​personal​ ​items.

     2. Vacuum​ ​the​ ​floor.

     3. Use toilet bowl cleaner and bristle brush to clean the toilet​ ​(available​ under sink).

     4. Using cleaner,​ ​wipe​ ​down​ ​the​ ​sink​ ​and​ ​counter.

     5. Use cleaner ​in​ ​the​ ​shower​ ​and​ ​wipe​ ​down​ ​the​ ​walls​ ​and​ ​basin.

     6. Put​ ​all​ ​the​ ​trash​ ​in​ ​a​ ​trash​ ​can​ ​and​ ​tie​ ​the​ ​bag.​ ​Take​ ​the​ ​trash​ ​to​ ​the​ ​dumpster.

MAIN​ ​BATHROOM

     1. Sweep​ ​the​ ​floors.

     2. Use toilet bowl cleaner and bristle brush to clean the toilet​ ​(available​ under sink).

     3. Using cleaner,​ ​wipe​ ​down​ ​the​ ​sink​ ​and​ ​counter.

     4. Put​ ​all​ ​the​ ​trash​ ​in​ ​a​ ​trash​ ​can​ ​and​ ​tie​ ​the​ ​bag.​ ​Take​ ​the​ ​trash​ ​to​ ​the​ ​dumpster.   

CHAPEL

     1. Sweep​ ​the​ ​floor.

     2. Place​ ​the​ ​altar​ ​and​ ​benches​ ​as​ ​you​ ​found​ ​them.

     3. Put​ ​all​ ​the​ ​trash​ ​in​ ​a​ ​trash​ ​can​ ​and​ ​tie​ ​the​ ​bag.​ ​Take​ ​the​ ​trash​ ​to​ ​the​ ​dumpster.

KITCHEN  (Follow​ ​signs​ ​posted​ ​in​ ​the​ ​Kitchen)

     1. Clean​ ​the​ ​stove.​ ​Remove​ ​the​ ​burner​ ​covers​ ​and​ ​clean​ ​around​ ​the​ ​burners.

     2. Clean​ ​all​ ​food​ ​preparation​ ​areas​ ​and​ ​tables,​ ​and​ ​the​ ​coffee​ ​area​ ​cabinets.

     3. Clean​ ​and​ ​wipe​ ​down​ ​all​ ​sinks​ ​and​ ​counter​ ​areas.

     4. Clean​ ​the​ ​bathroom​ ​and​ ​mop​ ​the​ ​floors.

     5. Clean​ ​the​ ​microwave.

     6. Wash​ ​all​ ​dirty​ ​towels,​ ​washcloths,​ ​aprons​ ​and​ ​potholders.​ ​Dry​ ​them​ ​and​ ​put​ ​away​ ​in​ ​their proper​ ​place.

     7. Sweep​ ​all​ ​the​ ​floors​ ​and​ ​mop​ ​with​ ​clean​ ​water​ ​and​ ​disinfectant.

     8. Put​ ​all​ ​garbage​ ​in​ ​the​ ​dumpster,​ ​tied​ ​securely​ ​in​ ​a​ ​plastic​ ​bag.

DINING​ ​HALL

     1. Clean​ ​and​ ​stack​ ​all​ ​tables​ ​on​ ​their​ ​proper​ ​carriers​ ​and​ ​stack​ ​all​ ​chairs​ ​in​ ​one​ ​corner​ ​of the room.

     2. Sweep​ ​the​ ​floor.

     3. Mop​ ​the​ ​floor.​ ​Use​ ​water​ ​and​ ​disinfectant.​ ​Change​ ​the​ ​water​ ​regularly.​ ​You​ ​may​ ​have​ ​to change​ ​the​ ​water​ ​3​ ​or​ ​4​ ​times​ ​to​ ​properly​ ​mop​ ​the​ ​floor. 

GYM

     1. Sweep​ ​the​ ​floor.

     2. Pick​ ​up​ ​game​ ​and​ ​sport​ ​equipment​ ​and​ ​return​ ​them​ ​to​ ​sports​ ​rack.

     3. Remove​ ​all​ ​personal​ ​items.
